Introductory remarks
The MPSLSW is mandated to promote decent work and foster sustainable social protection for all. This is in line with the provisions of National Development Strategy (Social Protection and Economic Growth and Strategy).In support of these Strategic goals and objectives, the Ministry has a functional special library section under Finance and Admin department to compliment skills and knowledge development .Special libraries play an important role in providing information related to management leadership,labour employment services disability affairs ,research ,sustainability ,social protection among a host of other disciplines. This is important as it contributes towards the development of human capital in the achievement of the Ministry’s strategic goals. The Library provides essential information services that support decision making and these include reference support, access to laws, policy documents, updates on new publications, e-resources these are available to ensure staff have timely and reliable information aligned with Ministry’s strategic goals and vision 2030.
